I am new here has anyone had 3cardiovertions and 3ablations I had my last ablation in November and I am back in af

Hi Annie and welcome! You will find that there are several people on this forum in similar position to yourself.

I have had 3 ablations and at least 17 dc cardioversions. My last ablation was in 2013 and cardioversion last April. It is a bit early to be too concerned about being back in AF since your last ablation. You are probably aware that it can easily take up to 6 months for the scars to heal . I still get episodes of AF requiring cardioversion but not so regularly now and I am hoping they will gradually become more widely spaced.

Many people recommend taking magnesium as a supplement for AF . If you are not already taking this you might try contacting your medical team to enquire if here are any contraindications for you to try this . I have found it helpful. Otherwise it's the usual advice of trying to keep yourself as healthy as possible ......little or no alcohol, gentle exercise, try to maintain healthy weight.

Presumably your GP is aware that you are back in AF

Hi Annie, yes I've had 3 ablations and numerous cardioversions. I can tell you some members on here have had at least 6 ablations.

You say that you are back in AF now. Have you spoken to anyone about this as perhaps a cardioversion could put you back on the right path again?

Thank you Jeanie I have my cardio nurse visits every 2 weeks my specialist has put me back on detoxing after having a bad episode of af said I would be managed on medication which I have been on for years have not spoken to him since my last ablation nurse spoke to him on the phone I have been so breathless today

Sorry to hear you have been so breathless. I know just what that's like and it's not nice.

Has predictive text on your post changed Digoxin to detoxing, or are you actually detoxing?

Digoxin did help nurse said they only do 3cardioversions and 3ablations will let you know what happens i have been in hospital 16 days with sepsis 5days after my ablation
