I had ectopics before my ablation and if anything they seem to have got worse and by far stronger. My EP says the usual " everyone gets them and they won't kill you ", but they are so uncomfortable and of course happen all day but worse at night when trying to sleep. Maybe that means we're not alone. Dave

Quite normal as I am sure you will know. Try the deep slow breathing exercise.

I hope not!

Two years post cryoablation and I used to get loads of ectopic runs. Add to that the anxiety issue and I was a bit down but happy the AF was gone. I then tried magnesium supplementation and this appears to have worked. It took a while but the ectopics gradually got fewer and fewer. I now get the odd one or two but go days when I am not even aware of my heart beating - what a result!

Hi Colpea I had 2 ablations last year for ectopics first one under sedation stopped as I was experiencing a lot of pain 2nd aborted due to right bundle branch block I'm waiting for a 3rd ablation but EP said he wasnt keen to go ahead as the ectopics were coming from a difficult area! my ectopics were continuous night and day for almost 2 years! I had been on almost every type of medication but 2 weeks ago a new EP gave me Flecinide 50mg x 2 and also Nevibolol this, fingers and toes crossed, has worked, so if it all continues I may not go for a third ablation, this regime has certainly given me my life back.

Best wishes Ingrid
