Xarelto and Apple Cider Vinegar Interaction

Hi, I'm new to this and hope someone can help me. I've been using 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar twice a day for leg cramps. Recently, I started taking Xarelto 15mg once a day. Is it okay for me to take both ?

Probably the best person to ask is your pharmacists. We can't nor should not advise on such matters.

I used to get regular leg cramps and Magnesium supplement sorted that, which I took at the same time as Rivoraxaban. If you are looking at Mg note there are various different compounds, loads of info on this Forum if you do a search.

As bobD said best to check, but until you do just don’t take at the same time, leave a few hours between, if your going ahead with taking ACV

It’s basically a fermented apple but just run it by pharmacy

I’ll look it up to for you as I take it too

Thanks so much for your response. I will check it with my doctor. I only take the 15mg Xarelto with dinner at 7:30. The ACV I take before breakfast and 10:00 pm (1 tablespoon each). Since they both thin the blood, I'm not sure whether it's okay to take them. I would never take them at the same time. If you find out anything more, please let me know. If I find out something from my doctor, I'll post it so you can see it as well.

Well looking it up it’s a bit of a mine field, lots of folks saying that they bruised more easily, and some lady’s bled vaginal whilst on it and stopped once they stopped taking it, there are several side effects, upset tummy, sickness, headaches, enamel erosion of teeth, itching really bad, seeems to mess up thyroid meds,,, someone mention they thought it thickened their blood. Hard to know if that was correct or not, as they went in to have a blood clot and they blamed it on ACV,

So bottom line is to run it pass doc, but 3 years ago I had out of nowhere ectopics saw the cardiologist and told him whilst waiting to see him I started magnesium, he poo pooed me, something awful, so I thinks there are only a few docs who know about the alternatives, good luck,

I love coconut oil but don’t over do it, and I replaced the magnesium tabs with water melon, nicer to take too. My ectopics went away after about 7 months, so far so good.

I did run it by my doctor. He said it was okay to take them. I do not take them at the same time. So far, I've had no deleterious effects but I've only been on the Xarelto for one week. I do take magnesium and calcium for the leg cramps and make sure my potassium intake from food is adequate. I suppose every person's body responds differently to each medication. We all do the best we can and hope it turns out well. Thanks again for your help. I appreciate the time and effort you put into helping me with this. I hope you continue to stay well.
