Quick question. I take my meds to work and take them when I get there but I've forgotten them today for the first time ever. It's a good two hour journey back home so that's not an option.
What are my options and should I worry?
I'm 3 months post ablation and only taking 2.5mg Bisoprolol per day.
I'm thinking I just have to ride it out and make sure I take it tomorrow.
Would a pharmacy or GP issue some or would it be a bureaucratic nightmare?

I've done that before, when on the last minute and half asleep and half way to work at 6am.... I was just mindful I was "uncovered" for the 12.5 hour day and tried not to worry about it. I was also on 10mg not 2.5
I doubt very much missing one dose will matter so long as you take it as soon as you can getting home or take the next dose (can't remember what the advice on the leaflet says regarding this)
Try not to stress or it'll make it worse!

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If your next dose is less than 4 hours away, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Won't do any harm. Do not even think about playing 'catch ups'. Just get on with the day and take your normal dose at the correct time when next due. I have an App on my phone which I use as a memory jogger. Called Dosecast.

I use MyTherapy but will give Dosecast a try.
Great app, just spent time putting my meds in and resisted the urge to get "premium" instead using expiry dates as "running out" dates so I know when to re order as they're out of sync.
I would take the missed dose as soon as you are able rather than waiting till next one is due to cut down on the time you are unmedicated.
I had a similar problem this weekend for a different reason having caught Norovirus from my grandchildren and missed 2 days of both beta blockers and anticoagulants so spent two days in fear of AF.
Missing doses of medication for this kind of 'event' was something I hadn't considered 
OK yes there may be a small risk but compared to so much of life not that bad.
With the bisoprolol it won't be long before you are told to stop it anyway after three months.
Just don't think about it and take the next one when you are due.
BobD , did I miss something in the previous posts, or are you assuming that the Bisoprolol will be stopped after three months? Is that in general, or the norm after ablation?
I only ask as I have been on 12.5 mg daily for eighteen months, and prior to that fora year it was10 mg, with no indication that I’ll ever be told to stop, but I haven’t had an ablation.
The whole point of ablation is to improve QOL and that should mean getting off drugs .(apart from anti-coagulants which we all need ) If , like mine, it works then you don't need them. My EP told me to stop my anti-arrhythmic drugs (I was never on beta blockers) I think at about six months but it took me another two to wean myself off them. Some EPs stop all drugs at the time of the ablation. That does not of course apply to you.

In case I have a couple of days supply of my meds in the glove box of the car. On one occasion I have had to call on that reserve. It also gives a margin if I have to be away from home at last minute.
I carry about a week's worth of everything in a curiuosly strong peppermint tin in my purse. I put each type of med in a separate tiny plastic bag and label each with strength and dose. That way it's always with me and if I get stuck somewhere I have a few days to figure out how to get more.
Heh heh, funnily enough that's what I've just done. Spare Meds in the work bag now.
I've got little plastic bags of tablets in lots of different places; computer bag, car, jacket pockets, work desk - and I've used some of them more than once 
You can also buy one of those plastic pill dispensers with the days of the week marked on them.
Being in perm A/F it dosent seem to make any difference if I miss the bisoprolol ..
I monitor my BP and HBeat ,I can't comment on post oblation conditions as i have only ever
had tablet treatment hope you keep out of A/F now good luck
I would go to a convenient pharmacy & explain to them. Even one missed dose can cause your bad symptoms to recur. Better not to risk it.
Just to show how things differ I had my second ablation 2 months ago and even before my three month check up my EP has told me to stop Apixaban and Bisoprolol via e mail !!
Its a good idea to keep just one of each of your tablets inside your purse, handbag or anything that you always have with you just in case you forget. I personally keep a single tablet in my phone flip case.
