irregular beats

husband had ablation on 6th march after 2 months had very few irregular beats but for the past 2 weeks he seems to be getting more is this normal or could be ablation hasn,t worked . before ablation had PF , thanks for any advice

Probably ectopic beats which are very common but NOT AF. If you are worried why not ask your GP to do an ECG to see what they are. It is still quite early days yet mind.

I would not panic at this point! Even perfect hearts get irregular ectopic beats; those of us with AFib just notice them more! Your husband is still in the 3-6 month blanking period of healing from the ablation. If it gets more frequent, and you are concerned you could call your husband's EP, or if you have the Kardia Alive-Cor device, you can always do your own EKG and send it off to your EP for evaluation.

I had the irregular beats one month after my second ablation. Sometimes I had these irregular beats continuously for 2-3 days . My EP said it is normal but did an ekg for my peace of mind.. EKG showed I had PAC . EP said not to worry and it will resolve eventually. It did resolve with in a week. It is been 8months from my second ablation . I still get occasional PAC which the doctor said are not harmful. Your husband is still in the healing stage. It takes atleast 6 months for the heart to heal completely . If you are concerned call Your EP for an EKG/ holder monitor to record the irregular beats. Good luck .
