I had my third ablation the end of May. Started into a fib 3 days post ablation. At 2 months post ablation my heart rate jumped to 130-150 bpm so EP cardioverted me 2 days ago. One shock and I was back in rhythm. Yesterday I had some minor skipped beats, then this evening they've been more frequent. No fast runs so I'm pretty sure they're ectopics. Anyone else experience this following a cardioversion?

Ectopic beats following cardioversion
Yes quite common as the heart is a little upset. Try the deep slow breathing exercise which works for so many of us. Search Ectopics,- breathing exercise in top right for details.
yes i was Cardioverted all great chest lovely and calm for one day .... then i woke up the next day with the Palpitations back again...that is when they decided to do the Ablation, wow 3 Ablations - i am sure they will sort you out Amcech Good luck keep us posted..
Thank you! They have determined that my ablation was a total fail. I was cardioverted last week but only stayed in rhythm for 48 hours. They did an echo while I was in Afib and it showed an ejection fraction of 40-45%. So now I'm on propafanone and coreg and will be cardioverted again in 2 weeks. I'm hoping something works soon before my heart gets worse. They say you can't die from AFib but obviously it will cause your heart to deteriorate. I'm am overweight but have lost 25 pounds in the last year and I'm trying to follow a low sodium diet most of the time. No caffeine or alcohol or chocolate. No wonder I'm losing weight, it's not worth eating! LOL!
I had cardioversion 2 months ago following afib for 11 hours. I now vet ectopic beats every day which I hate and it makes me anxious.
Thats comforting, thanks Amcech.
