Burnt Out Cardiomyopathy.

After my last A. Flt episode and 9th Cardioversion my Cardiologist has informed mt that I have Burnt Out Cardiomyopathy.

I have been started on Amiodarone and if that fails I will be put on rate control drugs and if they don't work I will be put on a CRT-D Pacemaker. No one has mention a heart transplant yet but at 58 I may be to old.

I just wondered if anyone else had this and what was there experience.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. There are good devices now that can be implanted if you need them so do make sure you are getting good advice about all options.

Hi RosyG,

Thanks for your input.

I have not given up - I just want to have more info about whats available and how it has helped people. (I get confused when Cardiologists try to explain things!)
