Are you out of breath since beginning to take the 2 drugs you mentioned. If so there is possibly a link. If not and it is before you began to take them it is probably due to something unconnected and I would be going back to my GP.
I am on Apixaban and Bisoprolol and like another questioner very breathless. I also have mild to moderate COPD, bronchiectasis. Does this mean I sh ould drop the bisoprolol? Do you understand why and if there is an alternative? I have a very concerned GP but I don't think she is quite up to speed on AF. and I need info in order to have sensible talk with her. I have no ongoing support re the AF since seeing cardiologist two years ago except the GP.
Suggest you discuss with your doctor but I am sure it is well known that beta blockers can cause breathlessness and are not suitable for asthmatics. Not all drugs are suitable for all patients.
Only out of breath after taking these mends. Although gp was querying anemia at the begging of my illness , have had iron infusion for that but no results as yet
Christmas holidays seem to have put everything back, or is that just me being impatient ..
I would go back to your GP sounds as if it is the Bisoprolol, I am on this and does not make me breathless but have heard it does for others, perhaps GP could prescribe another drug. A friend of mine was recently treated for anemia and one of her symptoms was breathlessness (she does not have AF) .
