Ive got very mild breathlessness, ive posted on here before about this as its confusing as im in nsr with no ectopics. Im med free last dose of flec as a pip over one week ago. Is this the remaments of an af episode or something similar I cant weigh it up. My heart beat is nice and regular yet still this feeling on my chest?

hi colliedog yes im on beta-blockers what I think it is with me I have low heart rate when im not in A/F and very low B/P .I can sometimes just be sat and get breathless and another time I can do a hour in the gym and be fine so I really do think it depends how low my H/R and B/P is

Buy a £10 Oxymeter (the ones that fit on your thumb) from eBay and monitor yourself rigorously. You'll soon notice if there are any particular actions that cause the blood oxygen to suddenly drop. Then go and discuss with a chest consultant (not a normal cardiologist)

Hi Jimmysouthgates

go see your doctor and tell him your breathless and any other symptoms your having it may be nothing but you should have it checked out regardless and its not right to ignore it if your unsure what's happening .....hope you feel better soon

Thanks for the replies they are all taken on board. Should be due a appointment with my cardiologist soon, alots changed since our first meet. Things have def got worse so he needs to pull his finger out and come up with some effective solutions to things. Not even had an echo yet

See your GP first and get a chest X-ray. Where we are it is a walk in service every day. Also get GP to take your SpO2 levels with their oximeter so that it is recognised reading. Both these may make your meeting with the cardiologist more meaningful especially as cardiac consultant may not link and refer back to GP anyway.
