Hello my son had heart surgery last Monday and was put on Rivaroxaban since he has been home is tired all the time sleeping looking very pale and he is cold a lot too is this normal reaction

Yes, he will have had a general anaesthetic and it can take up to 6 months to recover from it. Extreme tiredness is perfectly normal. He needs to be kind to himself and get as much rest as possible.

Absolutely agree with Jennydog - any major surgery will require months to recover - sleeping helps the body to repair itself. Tell him to get plenty of it!

Regulation of body temperature is a function of the Autonomic System which will also have been disrupted but if you are unduly worried that he is not waking up to drink fluids or toilet himself in a 24 hour period or if you cannot wake him easily - then call emergency numbers immediately would be my suggestion - usual proviso - I am not medically trained - just using my nouse and experience.
