Tingling sensation in feet and hands
Sounds like a trapped nerve to me. Best have chat to your doctor.
I have similar symptoms which are caused by warfarin I think. I've just spent the afternoon in a@e thinking it might be another stroke but the ct scan and blood tests were ok. Could it be apixaban? Have you been taking it for long?
I think it is a side effect of the drugs; I take Apixaban and Bisoprolol and used to be on Amiodarone. Sometimes my hands go numb if they are not down at my side. If it is really bothersome I would check with the doctor.
If it is in your leg, not your extremities, I agree with Bob, think more probably a trapped nerve and I would suggest go see a chiropractor or a neuro physiotherapist - I have found that doctors are not helpful regarding muscular skeletal matters. Unfortunately NHS doesn't provide these services.
My understanding is that although some drugs do affect the nervous system and can cause numbness - it is usually in the extremities- fingers and toes.
Hi thanks for the reply i have the sensation in my leg feet and hands
Still could be a misaligned disc but also one or many of the drugs.
I know I have lost some sensation in my fingers after several years of AF drugs and sometimes have a tingling sensation, but I also have referred pain mainly in my my hip and down my leg to my ankle from disc going out of alignment from poor posture and holding babies on my hip!
All I can say is the referred pain is like an electric shock down my leg and continuous and often prevents me from walking very far and the only comfortable position is lying on the floor with my legs supported in table top position.
