Daft question I think but....

I feel like I'm skipping beats, am lightheaded and fee pretty ropey BUT I've checked my pulse manually twice now and it's around 62 bpm. I'm obviously feeling the skipped beats etc while taking it so is my pulse I'm feeling 😀. Should I just potter on? I'm on calcium channel blocker and anticoagulant. Maybe the ccb is keeping the rate low while of course not affecting the rythm. Thanks all!

Sounds like a bout of ectopic beats which are skipped beats etc... Which can be once or last for hours. Have you been anxious ? I'm told they are harmless. My consultant would not countenance them. I sometimes have them for a day, and when I take extra 1.25 of bisoprolol in evening, they settle down. I suppose if they persist for days and days you might think about the GP. No panic here.

What's your BP like?

Are you drinking plenty of water? If BP is low then drinking water gets it up.

Sounds like ectopics to me too - keep your finger on your pulse for a minute or so and you'll feel the slight pause and the thump. Breathing technique from Dr Gupta may help - slow your breaths to 6 per minute for at least 5 minutes. It's so easy to get dehydrated - and it does affect the heart rhythm.

My GP used a little device which he clipped on my finger which shows HR and O2. I told him I was going to buy one and he advised against it as it would make me neurotic. Actually the opposite is true. If I'm lying in bed at 3 AM, having difficulty breathing, and feeling as though my heart is pumping through my chest, I just clip it on and the reading is never as high as I would have thought. Obviously there's the added benefit that if the readings are genuinely high I'm armed with correct information to relate to medical professionals.

Just be warned that the figures may be out when you are in AF - depends on the person and on the particular device.
