What a day …. Icd fired 24 times .. ablation for atrial flutter, now getting pvi done Monday
How awful for you, to say the least! I've had heart rate of 240+ so know what that feels like😱.!! Haven't had experience of ICD firing though but you're in the safest place now. Wishing you all the best for Monday.

OMG - sounds very tough - I’m surprised you have any nerves intact 😱
I do hope that things resolved very soon - you are in the best place and virtual hugs from me too.
Best wishes for your PVI ablation.
Cheers … proper terrifying 😭
You really have our sympathies. I believe ICD going off is both scary and painful so hope you are now able to relate a little and recover.
😱 Wow, that really trumps our average posts by a long way! Best wishes ❤️🩹🍀
What a horrible experience for you, a complete nightmare!
Hope all goes well and your PVI is successful on Monday.
Best wishes
Jean
Oh what an awful time you have had. I hope that the PVI is successful on Monday.Val
Oh gosh that is awful. So pleased you are now under the watchful eye of the medics. Hope all goes well with your PVI. Please let us know how you get on. X
I see you mentioned coming off bisoprolol and flecanide in readiness for your PVI? I recently had my PVI at St Barts and I was advised to stop Spironlactone only?? I wonder why medication advice is different for same or similar procedures. Maybe a preference or something to do with medicine interactions? Good luck with your PVI tho! 👍
Blimey - that sounds extremely frightening!! I hope Monday goes well for you.
Omg what you've been thru. Hope everything goes OK.
Had my ICD with defibrillator go off as they were taking me down stairs to leave hospital following implant procedure. Fired 6 times while I am yelling at the nurse to get the "BLUE MAGNET!"They couldn't locate the magnet so I said ER will have one . Anyway, finally RN came running up to. Me and put the Medtronic magnet over the implant and it shut down.
Taped in place until tech came the next morning. Been good after he reprogrammed the device. Get yourself what you to shut it down. Just for peace of mind.
So sorry for you hun. Mine went off 5 times in a row and that was bad enough. I hope they manage to get you sorted, you're in the best place. Be strong hun and take care 🙏 x
Yikes!!! When I had my first cardioversion, they did not give me enough sedation and I screamed the roof down as I felt like I'd been kicked in the chest by a horse, so I can imagine what you you felt to a small degree. Hubby and other patients were waiting in the ward next door and he said the colour drained out of everyone's faces when they heard my banshee like wail. 😊. Fingers crossed they get you sorted.🤞.
