Great. Take it easy for the next 4 or 5 days to help heart get used to NSR again and not to stress it.

Will do

Had my 6th on Tuesday morning in A&E.... so far so good. Becoming a reluctant pro at them.

How long to get between having it done ?

The first (3 shocks) in the autumn 2013 kept me in NSR for about 6 weeks, then they only worked for 4/3 weeks on average. I had 5 in as many months, after the 3rd I was referred for ablation but it kept happening.

They eventually got the meds right and I was AF symptom free until the following July, but needed a further cardioversion in the October and a further ablation in the December.

My latest Cardioversion was some 14 months later, this week.

Feeling low. Only lasted two days

Then got very anxious and stressed and it went out of nsr

Hi , my husband had a cardioversion on Tuesday. (the first one he has had after being diagnosed with AF in April ) The cardiologist told him to reduce his beta blockers from 10mg to 5mg. It worked until this morning when his heart rate was back up to 109. And his b.p. was also elevated. After the initial excitement of it working, he is now really down about it failing. The nursing staff told him it only works for one in five patients. Wondering what is next as we don't see cardiologist or two weeks. Is there is any advice anyone has ? Thanks .(this is my first post)
