I ended up in A&E on Saturday morning, AF kicked in Friday evening, nothing would stop it, not even flecainide PIP. Yesterday, (Sunday) given 200mg flecainide intravenously, came down a bit, not sure if it’s enough, possible cardio version this morning! So now it’s a waiting game!
cardio version?: I ended up in A&E on... - Atrial Fibrillati...
cardio version?
Thinking of you Suesouth and hoping all goes well.
I hope they give you the cardioversion today Sue and it makes you instantly better. They always work well for me. If they do, make sure you don't go doing anything too energetic for a week or so afterward, because until your heart gains strength beating correctly again it's so easy to slip back into AF.
Let us know how you get on please.
Jean
I wish you all the best - hope all goes well for you.
wishing you all the best too Suesouth, hope it settles for you today.
Wishing you all the very best x
thank you, it’s all go for this afternoon!
Cardioversion worked every time for me when I had similar lack of success with PIP.
I hope they can help you soon.
Pete
Good luck....not for the procedure, youll be fine, but for a positive outcome and stress free house move! 🤞
thanks, it didn’t happen yesterday 🤯🤯 hopefully today!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Had a cardioversion yesterday at Mercy General in Sacramento. Very easy, didn't even feel it, seems to work extremely well but time will tell. In my opinion not something to be dreaded at all, but you know I did anyway. Very easy experience, make sure you have someone to help you out though, drugs are potent, at least the ones they gave me. Wishing you a great result, which is most of the time I understand!
🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
All the very best Sue x
Good luck - hope you feel much better soon x
thank you
Sounds like your at a good hospital, they had me waiting over 3 months in debilitating af, what area are you in
Oh, I can relate! I hope by the time you read this you'll be back in NSR. I know it's scary, but you're in good hands. Best wishes for a quick turn-around.
Yes, as jean said, cardioversion makes you feel better instantly. Wishing you all the best.
