Whew! Done and dusted.

Well, that was as easy as it gets, I think. I'm even home already with no overnight stay after all. Doc says he only had to do a couple of touchup spots on the left side and couldn't induce any other activity at all. Not experiencing any arrhythmia at all now , either, but will take flec as precaution while it heals well. Also Eliquis for a month or so. Now just healing up in groin (one side again), neck, and good to go...easily for awhile. What an age of miracles we live in! Of course, our children in their seventies (or will it be 170's?) will probably be telepathing to each other about healing wands, "what an age of miracles! I remember my mother actually having to be cut into for a procedure!"

Yes! It is an age of miracles.

Glad to hear all is going well. Did they do the ablation through your neck and groin?

Yes, one side only again, which is fortunate, as less healing. Groin is for diagnostic tool and neck for the one that does the work. I am so happy to have a doc who can do only what's absolutely required.

After2 CVs and 1 Hibrid Ablation ( surgical & catheter ) on me that is, I have learnt that you now have to take it easy for at least 3 months, as the heart can take that long to heal. Build up on your rehab, easy for first couple of weeks & then progress steadily but don't overdo it. Hope all goes well !! Read my posts for any more help.

Thanks, Lastec. I'm fortunate this time in that he only had to do some minimal touch up on two previous areas, both on one side. I'm hoping the healing time is minimal too, but will definitely take it slow!

You should see some of my "flutter"-driven dreams I wake up from! Too wild for even a sci-fi writer. Some so terrifying, or just plain weird, it's a huge relief to wake up.
