I have always used iPhone4 - about to change to 5 but Alivecor is supposed to work with any smart phone? The variance is only between the platforms - IOS for mac or android for the non-macs. I have not a clue as to the microsoft platforms??

I am still using the 1st generation Alivecor though. You do not need to have the cover on the phone, simply hold in very close proximity to the microphone in socket and it should pick up fine - does it perfectly with my IPad.

Hi Sharon

The Alivecor will work with just about any Android phone, don't pay too much attention to the listing on the site, If the phone will run the app, then the device will almost certainly link to the phone, the wireless protocol it uses it pretty much standard across all phones.

May I suggest that Alivecor is not your limiting factor here, choose the phone you want to live with, and then email Alivecor and check the app works giving details of the O/S version and phone and I am sure they will confirm it works before you buy the phone.

Be well

Ian

For some reason Alivecor don't support Windows phones which can be a bit of a problem for some of us who are allergic to Apples
