Gloucestershire lunch?

Just wondered if there's anyone around the Cheltenham/Gloucester/Stroud area who would fancy meeting for lunch sometime? I'm happy to arrange a venue, if anyone's interested let me know.

Cheers, Kate

Thanks for the invitation Bob, if I get no response from my post I might consider it.

Hi Kate, I live on the edge of the Forest of Dean and would be interested in joining you but I work full time so would have difficulty making a lunchtime meeting - an evening would be much easier for me.

Well done, I suggested something similar a while back and had a lot of replies, I'm in Hereford so not too far away, so maybe we can get a gang together,

Hi Jo, would it be too far for you to join us for supper? I'm going to book a table fairly soon so would love to include you if you can make it.

I've mentioned the potential venue on my second post so you can check out the distance from you to see if it's feasible. Let me know. what you think

Cheers, Kate

Hi Kate, I've been meaning to contact you re supper date.

I'm not sure I can make the date as my sister and brother-in law are visiting around that time.

It's all a bit vague as having moved house a few months ago I'm having 'jobs' done and having to juggle when they can be done. I am trying to get stuff done as my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter are coming from South America (Peru) early September so I'm a bit like a rabbit in the headlights lol.

Great idea to meet up and I certainly would like to be included, if not this time then at a future date.

I think it would take me approx. an hour and a half to get there.

Funnily enough I was looking at the map and trying to determine where would be somewhere reasonably central for people who responded to a previous post of mine.......... namely

Glosbumble.....Chelt

You.................. "

Cyril Barnes...... Forest of Dean

Uttledoo...........Monmouth

Dottilind..........Cardiff

Dukes Mam...... "

dedeottie........... "

John -Boy...........Bristol

Jan-ran................ "

Auntie crazy......Powys ( we could travel together)

Me........................Hereford

I came up with Monmouth....what do you think? maybe we could ask

those on list for a future meet-up.

Hi Jo, I think it's a great idea to include as many people as possible and I for one would be happy to travel to somewhere central to everyone.

I'm going to go for Tuesday 25th August for our first get together, so if you are able to make it then it would lovely to meet you. Otherwise I'm sure there'll be more lunches/dinners, even if not that often, so there'll be time to get in touch with all the folk you've mentioned.

Hi to all of you who've replied, nice to know my idea has had such a good response. A couple of people have suggested to perhaps make it an evening get together because of work commitments, what do you think? I don't mind either way, so if that suits everyone else I'll go ahead and look for somewhere to meet.

Let me know what you think.

Would be ok for me too as long as it wasn't too far away- must be getting old as I don't enjoy driving too far at night!
