So managed to get a fast referral to Prof Jaz Gill at Guys Hospital. Saw him yesterday. I went into AFin whist waiting!! anyway was captured on ECG, but they said was Atrial Flutter which I wasn't aware I had also. So my increased episodes of in fact AFib episodes with normal time span 2 hours, but also now AFlutter episodes which are lasting 3 or 4 hours every day. For example yesterday whist travelling to and from hospital on tubes/trains I had 4 hours Atrial Flutter 1.30 - 4.30pm, not great!!! then in evening 8pm - 10pm AFib. Have taken day off work as exhausted, today seeing GP for new meds. Prof Gill has changed me from Flecainide to Propafenone. he also put me on waiting list (12-14 weeks) for Ablation for both Afib and Aflutter. So feeling good - action taken - light at end of tunnel - just hope Propafenone are effective. Will keep you updated.

Always worked for me. Only slight down side was funny taste in mouth. Good news on the ablation.

Here's hoping they get your sorted now you are in their hands.
As much as you do not want it to, I bet you were pleased that your heart played up during your visit to EP. The ablation will be a walk in the park for you.
Sorry but thought atrial flutter and afib. The same?
