Painkillers
I take paracetomol but only when pain really drives me to as I take Warfarin. Nothing much agrees with Warfarin.
I have Codydramol on prescription for arthritis. But only take it if I really have to as also on warfarin.
I take over the counter. Paracetamol with codeine, works well for really bad pain like my arthritis or just paracetamol for headache, be well!!
Same with me - paracetamol in small doses if I absolutely have to and co-codamol in even smaller ones if there is no way out!
Co-codamol works for me and helps most of my aches and pains. My GP said it was OK....and like everything else, in moderation.
G'day pirnough,
I am on warfarin and was advised by Cardio Consultant not to touch any anti inflammatory, including Ibuprofen. Suggested Co-Codomol. I just wish I could control my lower back/ Si joint pain as easily as my AF !
I take Co-Codomol 30/500 (a prescription item ) as and when required and in extreme cases of pain I have taken up to 8 tablets a day. But the stuff is bloody powerful and can send you 'wacko jacko' easily. On the occasional bad pain day it hardly touches the Si joint pain. There is also CoCodomol which is available over the counter.

Thanks for all your replies. I don't find cocodamol or codeine based drugs very effective. I hsve had headaches for the last two months and long for something to clear my head.
