Hi, Its a funny thing but after reading numerous posts on here Im always

a bit, dont know what to say here, the thing is I never take my heartbeat or

pulse unless I really feel unwell and carnt carry on whatever Im doing at

that moment. I do feel all sorts of things happening but unless it stops

me I carry on. If I intend to go say shopping, that is the only time Id wait

awhile to see if anything develops. This has only stopped me because

Ive had a couple what I call flake outs in town and thats embarressing.

I wonder what other people do but once I knew it wasnt going to kill

me I just thought get on with it Shirley. Im not for one moment saying

others are wrong just that I tackle it differently. I would like to know

what other people do

Shirley

I have tried to carry on but ended up in hospital for three days with chest pain so I've been told to rest if I feel any pain, too late if I'd gone out but I can try to do things at home. Sad thing is,my friend who used to offer to take me out sometimes has stopped because I might be taken ill :(

I also try to keep going as I am better when I'm occupied. However,on the only occasion my heart rate spiked to 140 , I couldn't carry on as I felt as though I was going to faint so I have so much sympathy with folk that always have a high heart rate with A.F. x

Thanks everyone for your replies. Outcome was l went with my husband and dogs for a lovely walk at Castle Howard near York and was fine. Came home and did Supermarket shop and baked a Christmas cake. In bed at 6pm and just woken up at 3.30am.

Heart flutters mostly at night in bed. Don't seem to notice it during the day.

Im so sorry that your friend isnt helping you anymore and I can sypathise

with you whole heartedly, its awful if you want to go out for a change of

scene and dont feel you can make it under your own steam. Wouldnt it be

possible to assure her you are not going to drop dead but you may need

to sit down more frequently and linger over lunch. Thats what I do but

I have a very understanding daughter, Havent you got a neighbour

who would like a bit of company or even go to your local church, theres

usually things going on there. I hate to think of somebody wanting to

chat so Im always available. Shirley.

Alls well that ends well you sound like you had a lovely day, isnt it funny

that it can happen you have a poor start to your day but end up having

a really nice time and getting jobs done that you didnt expect to. By the

way you are in good time for Christmas with your cake done already.

Shirley.
