Having third ablation tomorrow...

But on the other side of my heart, first two were for flutter apparently and this next one is for AF. The thing is I'm feeling really nervous and anxious, daft really because you'd think by now I'd be ok with it, having had previous ones with very little trouble.

It'll be good to get off the heart meds if all turns out well, fingers crossed, though I've been ok on the calcium channel blockers, oh well, hopefully all will be fine. Hope all you Afibers are well today.

Good luck for tomorrow- as you say you know what is involved which is good, but it is understandable to be nervous as these are big steps- So many one here seem to have had good experiences of ablation I'm sure they will be able to reassure- do let us all know how you get on,

very best wishes,

Rosemary

Will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping that this procedure will restore you to full AF free health.

I've had two and if I was offered a third would be there like a shot.

Best wishes

Jean

Dear Rosy, Jean and Rellim, thank you all so much for your replies.

I should NOT read about the major complications on the web, which include death or stroke!! This is why I'm so nervous!

Hope to be here updating you all with the success of the procedure later this week.

Many, many thanks again for your good wishes, kindest regards. X

Good luck. My third is in 4 weeks.

As Someone who has had four, I have to concur and say each time I got a little more scared. It is possibly due to the fear of failure?

Good luck for today!

I am having my 4th today, so know exactly how you feel. Am hoping for relief from AF for more than a year which is the longest I was in SR after the 3rd one but really worried about the stroke aspect.

Good luck, understand the apprehension, but the results will be so awesome. I am only a wrk out from my first and am still having minor episodes which I understand is normal. I can't wait to not feel my hear, to be able to take stess without having an episode, to run, bike etc has hard as I want. Think about these things not the risks. Thinking of you today, let us know how it goes.
