Hi
I have Addisons Disease (adrenal insufficiency) and on life saving cortisone. How much extra cortisone is needed to cover me for an angiogram? Thanks Anne

Hi Anne
Another Addisonian!
Sorry I can't answer your question but wanted to say hi.
As you have probably gathered I too have Addisons Disease (and of course problems with AF)
Andy
Hi anniebird I also have Addisons disease and have recently had a long complex Ablation under GA.and doubled my Cortisone on day of surgery I also had a op.to remove a throat lump two years ago and once again doubled cortisone all went well on both occasions I am pleased to say.Are you well with addisons disease I also have Diabetes and thyroid disease guess some one dropped a stitch in my Endocrine system but for all that I am well just hope Ablation has stopped AF. Best wishes Hazel
Hi Leader 777. Good to see another couple of Addisonians here. Don'tfeel so alone now. Doubling my cortisone for the angiogram seems like a good plan and I never go anywhere without my emergency injections just in case.
I hope the ablation does the trick for you and gives you some peace from the AF.
I am extremely unwell with perstistant Af (medication (Cardizem) making me sick ) and Addisons and Lyme disease and co-infections. Only able to be out of bed briefly due to fatigue and Postural orthostatic intolerance which no-ne seems to do anything about. I also have hyperparathyroidism and to have an adenoma removed in September. Too many illnesses to keep track of
