ablation date.

Hi,

After 12 months of not really quite convinced that I had AF and blaming all my symptoms on the Bisoprolol and Flecaidine and giving my cardiologist a hard time asking difficult questions especially over Asprin v Warfarin (which I have since apologized and he accepted gracefully) and following two scary episodes of AF one of which I passed out embarrassingly in a Laura Ashleys store.I have decided that ablation is the road forward for me.

My pre op day is the 8th of August and the Ablation itself is on the 13th August at Liverpool.

I see also Jennydog and Loo53 are in a similar time scale.Good luck to you both of you...

I am taking part in THE SMART TRIAL which is a randomized study comparing pulmonary vein isolation using the smart touch catheter with and without contact force sensing in the treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.

Who is organising the research? Queen Mary,University of London..

Well there we are no more procrastinating I am on my way...

Good luck to you all.

Carol.

Hope it goes as well as mine, 8 years free of it and no drugs except aspirin, then anti-coags.

Good luck

Hi Carol. That is the hardest part I think waiting for others to do things for you. I told my husband he was not hanging the washing out properly! He told me to go and lie down lol. Life us a great big adventure with many twists and turns. Sieze the day x
