What to take for a headache

I was just wondering what you take for a headache. Yesterday I had a sinus headache and knew I could not take aspirin or similar since I am taking Xarelto. I did not take anything and my headache did go away overnight. I looked on the internet and Tylenol was mentioned as OK to take but I did not have that. Any thoughts??

Hi

Paracetamol - UK equivalent to Tylenol - is what my GP tells me to take for pain relief.

Glad you're feeling better today.

I am on the same anticoagulant as you and only take paracetamol as agreed with my doctors.

Paracetamol is fine with any of the AF related drugs. NOT ibuprophen under any circumstances.

Bob.

Ibuprophen has been proven to cause AF. Simples. It also reacts with warfarfin which most people should be on if they have AF

I take Panamax its easier on the stomach I am not on Warfarin

I take co-codamol, which is 30 mg codeine 500 mg parcetamol per tab. I only take one at a time and it helps pain and gets me to sleep. it works for me. JanR
