i had my first ablation in oct and over the last 5 days i have been getting really strong palpitations that are waking me up out of my sleep
Hi Jeelly. I'm sorry to hear you had such a "wake-up call". Are you on anticoagulants? I would definitely call my doctor in this case. Could be a number of things but not being able to move or speak - even a couple of minutes is significant. The fact you got past that is great but I would call it in to the hospital and or my doctor. Hope your day gets better and you are still just healing inside your heart. keep us updated. Take good care.
I agree with the advice Iris has given you. Why don't you talk to an out of hours doctor today for advice, or as she says go to your local hospitals A&E. If I had a few minutes where I woke up in the morning and couldn't move or speak I'd certainly have to have some medical advice. Wishing you well.
Hi Jeelly40
you have eery reason to be anxious, but it does become a vicious circle as anxiety can bring on Af. I think you should inform your dr asap about not being able to move or speak as it could indicate other things going on. Are you on anticoagulents?
Regards
Eileen
