I'm not sure if they'll find enough people quickly to meet the eligibility criteria 🤔:

"In total, the placebo-controlled, randomized study plans to enroll 80 patients with mCRPC. Patients are not eligible for enrollment if they have had prior treatment with newer, potent androgen receptor signaling inhibitors, including darolutamide, enzalutamide (Xtandi), apalutamide (Erleada), and abiraterone (Zytiga)."

Yes.Its strangeif there are many patients already in castration stage who have no prior treatment with arsi.

My guess is that they are targeting "de novo" mCRPC patients...

...but they are not that numerous IMHO 🤔

It is very rare.. De novo metastatic castration sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC) accounts for about 4% of all prostate tumors in Western Countries

Depressing. I'm a 4 percenter.

And even then, don't they try ADT and these agents to see if the cancer responds before declaring one's cancer "castrate-resistant"?

I think you are in the right. Its castration resistant when you are in adt hormone therapy and prostate cancer keeps growing even when the amount of testosterone in the body is reduced to very low levels.

Yep….I think a lot of us are awaiting that “Silver Bullet”. This disease beats us up physically and mentally…but, even being it ever so small, hope is what keeps us going on those “down days”. Thanks for sharing.

There already is a "silver bullet" but unfortunately it's aimed directly at us.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Yep….Thanks, John.

As always, you make me smile with your upbeat way of looking at the world. Hoping that all is well in the Big Apple.

Jim.
