My husband has had 3 Pluvicto infusions. His side effects have been minimal and there was a PSA decrease with each infusion. He just had his labs done prior to the 4th infusion next week. Unfortunately, his platelet count dropped to 122. He can still have the fourth infusion. I am trying to stay in the moment, but am wondering about what will happen if this continues to drop. I know the Pluvicto dosage may need to be changed or the infusions may need to end . I am wonder what kind of lab numbers they would be looking at.

Pluvicto and low platelet count

It is one of the common side effects. Many users drop the treatment when their platelets drop significantly—122 is a good number. I was in a clinical trial called "ARX517." My platelets dropped to 96, and the team told me they would do platelet infusion if they fell below 60.
It usually bounces back.
Bleeding from the nose, ear, or gums is a common side effect, so call the doctor or go to the ER immediately.
Well pretty much I'd say he's on a good path IMHO.
PSA continues to go down.
Looks as though he'll get his 4th infusion out of 5 so that in itself with PSA decline is good news.
Platelet numbers may or may not have hit what will be bottom so 5th infusion might go forward without concern.
As always a one step at a time kinda thing. With the platelet concern I wonder if more frequent labs are considered.
This is all just my layman's rambling of course so please also share your concerns with his Oncologist/team too .
Always hopin for the best for another sister here and hub, lookin out for hub's.

I've read a lot about this topic, as my dad faces similar situation. I found that as a natural remedy, papaya leaves extract is doing a good job. Hawaii Pharm has a glycerin extract, don't take the alcohol one. You could give it a try. My dad is drinking now 3 teas of papaya leaves a day, and I am looking forward for his blood results next week. His Apalutamide is getting his pallets low and also radiation last year was a hit, got him to 56 thrombocits. If you should find out any treatments, please let me know. I am interested. God bless your journey!
Thank you for this information. I am so glad this natural remedy is working for your dad. I will look into it. Prior to the initial post I sent, I did try searching on this topic as j-o-h-n suggested. The search did not direct me to any information. I will let you know if I find anything on this.
I wish you and your dad well!
