Rising PSA Near End of Chemo?

Hello again everyone! I posted two months ago about my father’s rising PSA after his first chemo session and after stopping darolutamide (Nubeqa) temporarily. His PSA did go back down, so it seems that was a temporary blip. His PSA before his 4th session of chemo was 4.9 and we were so happy! Today before his 5th session, his PSA was 6.1. I know it fluctuates, but it seems odd that this would happen at his next to last chemo session when he is on a full dose of Darolutamide now.

Does this seem concerning? His doctor has not yet commented on the results in his medical records portal, so I’m hoping to get some feedback on real life experiences in the meantime if there are any. Picture included for reference. Thank you all!

Is he in ADT hormone therapy. If not thats strange. Must start Orgovyx (oral)or Firmagon(injection 1/month).

Orgovyx and Firmagon are more effective(and different) than Lupron .Maybe try to change Lupron to Orgovyx(or Firmagon).

Thanks, he actually started on Firmagon monthly and they switched him to lupron every 3 months. I am not sure why though.

Ask for Orgovyx. It is easier. No injections .You can take it at home.

Hi Tryptophan

Happy new year. I just saw your reply. We have similar diagnosis. Stage 4 , gleason9, about 15 mets My Psa dropped to 0.04 and its been there for about a year. I get a monthly shot of Eligard ( Lupron) and daily Nubeqa( darolutamide)and Xgeva for the bones. What is D3 ? Vitamin D3? And why did you temporarily stop treatment? Has your psa stayed put since you stopped treatment?

Thank you
