Busy since Turkey Day, went to Ventura to Swap out the Memorial List (name added 🙏), chatted with Leticia - she gave me a beautiful blue stone. Thrift store shopping too of course, that's where I got that sign and the Yellow shirt. The sign's on my Front Desk now.
Went home to Hawaii and hung out with my Mom, brought her lunch and dinners and chatted. She still reads well, but she still says that I should stay at the home with her and what will I do as I'm retired 😜 I'm not 😁
Of course I did the HNL Marathon #160 overall - long *ss 7:28. The day before in the para gliding pix, a lady saw my 26.2 tat and asked about HNL marathon and I said that I was doing it and I loved that some people had beers out there for us. She exclaimed that she did that, but was working and told me her friends Erica and Cody would be there.
Up at 3:30 am that Sunday walked a mile to the 5 am Fireworks start. Partly cloudy thru the day. About mile 8 on the road next to Diamond Head, the lead male and then female runners zoomed by😃
Around mile 12 I kept looking for the beer crew ( I had a Beer on way out and back in 2023) After the turnaround in Hawaii Kai, I finally saw them asked if they knew Carly and if Erica was there, and she was, got a Miller Light and she took a pic with me😁
Mahalo nui loa to our HU member who sent me this great shirt and two others, a bunch of drink powders- I used in HNL, those Mardi Gras Beads and a Lil Jesus💙😁
I'm in front of a great Thrift Store sign and the toys for our Christmas Gift Drive
Awww, you're so very welcome. PCa and the Med SEs are enough of a downer, thus QoLing posts were born. And I get such a kick being out and taking pix so that I can do a QoL post, it boosts my Mood too.
Good to hear from you Doc. I thought I was busy the last few weeks, but when I was resting, you were out DDS'ing "Doin Somemore Stuff". Glad you got to see your moms, and finish the marathon. You rock bruddah
Mahalo n ui loa Bruddah CB, I'm that dang bunny with energy😜 Can't hop much no mo, just a walker now. Mom's great, glad to see me and loved most of the foods that I brought. She was fed sandwiches😢 , I made sure to get her local foods, I had to taste test to make sure it was okay😁 youtu.be/6PGFNvMbmQA?si=Q12...
Been getting a little windy and light wetness they are calling rain lol. Temps hanging in the 55f to 66f here. Typical normal weather for here. Been so so to not so, ……. Dealing with patches s.e.’s but think I might be on up swing now. lol O biggie buddy.
Those springs in those legs sure been busy, wears me out just reading about all of it. Rotflol. Keep it going my bruddha … love you buddy
Well I wrote a 20 minute reply that magically disappeared when I posted it, I know that’s happened to you too ….. more than once.
Then I got too tired and had to take a nap. lol.
Anyway …..shucks buddy , 61f is about the same range as here ( 68f ) next couplea days , it’s the middle of December and you aren’t shoveling your parking lot ….plus great outdoors temp of 60s ….. that sounds like a win to me buddy. lol big smile there huh .
Well that upswing lasted about half a second lol …. Not really but not very long. I’m good tho, …..frankly considering everything…. I gotta think how much worse things could be …. Should thank my lucky stars for those little bits of comfort and ease that do come along. The hammer and I made a ginger bread house from one of those kits yesterday… kinda waiting for me to perk up. It’s was fun. Now time for it to disappear rotflol.

Cool about Gingerbread house, made with THC enhanced gingerbread?😂
Aloha! Hawaii is our happy place. We've visited Oahu, Maui and Big Island (so far). Big Island was amazing. We loved staying near Hilo - spent two days in Volcano National Park and probably could have gone back for another day if we would have had time. I'm trying to win the lottery so we can go visit more often. *grin* Funny thing is neither of us our beach "people" and I have a hard time in warm weather but it's just so peaceful there.
Good morning, I was born on Oahu, and have been to Maui and the Big Island. Did the Haleakala sunrise watch then the bike back down to town - that was a blast. Loved the Volcano Natl Park, hiked down into the floor and it was a moonscape - so otherworldly. That was two years ago post dang covid, I took 10 days off to go home and threw in a Big Island trip. Ordered a "manager special" for a car rental in Hilo and I scored a Convertible Mustang😁. Beach Therapy is my thang, tho I'm not much of a swimmer 😃 Yes, a Peaceful easy feeling. Scroll thru my posts for more Hawaii, if ya wanna
Awesome pics as usual. Fab pic with the rainbow! For many of the pics it appeared that almost everyone was walking. Is that typical in a marathon? (I've never done or seen one). Last thought: Mama is eating great.
ps I'm gonna bet I'm the only one who watched the whole landing. Not sure what I was expecting but it didn't happen.
Mahalo nui loa GB, I'm the back of the pack kinda marathoner, there's vid of the winning men and women racing down the hill as us slow pokes were walking up at around mile 8😂 near Diamond Head. I finished at 15382 / 18429. Men: 9094 / 13342
Mahalo nui loa Bruddah G, ever since dang covid, I've been doing hikes and any miles done on my Map my Run app get transferred to my Conqueror Challenge App. That app places me on the virtual course wherever I signed up (Road to Hana, Everest, NYC, Mt Fuji, London, Singapore). Most have a Google Street view, so once your miles get posted to the course that you bought, you may see where you are. So, whilst in Spain on the Camino Frances, the miles I hiked there also placed me on the virtual course. Since I skipped a 100 miles from Leon to Sarria, I had to do that number of miles to complete the 480 mile Virtual Camino theconqueror.events/camino/
It's pretty cool, I've done dozens of the virtual courses. If you go back to the link above with the Camino medal, in the 2nd pic there are a bunch of the virtual hikes that I completed
