Stopover in Denver from Indiana, omw back to CA.

Was supposed to do the Joliet 5k with     Zengal79 that was a no go, so then we did a meet up for the Fourth. Stayed with her and her son

Had a Blast: did a stir fry 1st night, did hikes daily.

She was an excellent Tour Guide😊 schlepping this old guy around

Her family goes back 11 generations in the US

Did a 4 mile walking tour of Greenfield Indiana

great looking trip buddy, the pictures great too. Best tho was Zengal79 , looks like both of you were having fun. Brings back memories.. a trip down memory lane. Been to French Lick several times , I lived in Connersville and near Orange in s.e. Indiana up until I was 12. Born in Appalachia but moved to Indiana for a better living conditions. Connersville had several manufacturing plants that offered reliable work.

It sure was a wonderful time out there, had never seen acres of crop as far as the eye can see. The fam still has a farm and she took me there and Wow, like 500 acres!! Loved just being a tourist and able to gather in all of the scenery. The Brown County State Park was especially awesome with such beautiful really tall old growth trees. She said that she wanted to take son to see the Sequoias, I replied that I was down, of course

I was there in the late 40s early 50s more or less. Right after the war it was a run down small town. the hotel / springs about all I remember as a little kid.

what I saw back when , contrasted against it being the “ fun destination “ that it has become now. Kinda a local entertainment capital of sorts. I recently saw an outdoors show about it and mostly the area hiking trails and adventures surrounding it. A whopping lot of entertainment development has taken place there. Pretty impressive to see. A great location for QOL fun.

Yes, so impressive, was a lil disappointed that the Atrium was closed due to hail breaking the roof glass photos.app.goo.gl/BKJahTSXC...

But it was still a beautiful place to experience

Ohh, a trip out to CA? Dunno if San Diego in Sept is a possibility 😂 that 5k event is on 09/16 and Zengal79 is tentatively down for it.
