Yes, she was a wonderful host and YASS we had so much fun. I knew that we would, LoL, She's pretty crazy, unlike me who's just a quiet, calm presence 😜

Been to French Lick several times , I lived in Connersville and near Orange in s.e. Indiana up until I was 12. Born in Appalachia but moved to Indiana for a better living conditions. Connersville had several manufacturing plants that offered reliable work.

It sure was a wonderful time out there, had never seen acres of crop as far as the eye can see. The fam still has a farm and she took me there and Wow, like 500 acres!! Loved just being a tourist and able to gather in all of the scenery. The Brown County State Park was especially awesome with such beautiful really tall old growth trees. She said that she wanted to take son to see the Sequoias, I replied that I was down, of course
I was there in the late 40s early 50s more or less. Right after the war it was a run down small town. the hotel / springs about all I remember as a little kid.
what I saw back when , contrasted against it being the “ fun destination “ that it has become now. Kinda a local entertainment capital of sorts. I recently saw an outdoors show about it and mostly the area hiking trails and adventures surrounding it. A whopping lot of entertainment development has taken place there. Pretty impressive to see. A great location for QOL fun.

It certainly was wonderful to do a bunch of QoL things with her😁. She's a lovely, kind, and hilarious lady who's gone through her own life stuff :-(, but she soldiers on, like most of us on HU. You're so welcome for the QoL albums, I really dig doing those. I got to duck my 1st Jeep Jeep
