Next steps?

Hello. My husband finished his brachyboost treatment at the end of October. He is still taking Firmagon for another 3 months. He had a PSA and testosterone test done yesterday. PSA was <0.008 and testosterone was 0.4 nmol/L. He doesn’t have a follow up appointment for another month with his oncologist.

Can someone remind me what next steps are and what we should be watching for? I remember that they’ll be testing his PsA regularly and there might be a bounce, but I don’t recall what PSA number we are watching for and how long it will be before we know whether the treatment has been successful.

Another question, his red blood cells dropped after he started Firmagon. There seems to be some disagreement amongst his doctors as to whether the Firmagon could be causing this. Does anyone have any experience with this? His white cells also dropped, but one doctor thinks that is likely radiation related.

Thank you!
