Good morning, I started using Flowmax about 4-6 weeks ago becuase my flow has changed some. A few weeks ago, I started have a lot of inflammation and pain in my back, my shoulders and even sometimes in my neck. etc, it moves around. I stopped taking the flowmax for about 4-5 days and the inflammation and pain slowly and then completely went away. Has anyone else experienced this? If so is there something else that I can take to help the flow when I need to empty my bladder but not cause the inflammation?
I am going to pose the question to PCP also this morning,, I thought I would ask here as well.
Thanks in advance.

Hey, I've been taking flomax for about 4 years and it has never increased any pain or inflammation. I only take one capsule at night before going to bed. It's really helped with my urination problems. This drug is pretty widely used and very well understood. This mechanism of action doesn't seem to me to be one that would cause a side effect of this type.

I used rapaflo(silodosin) which worked better than flowmax for a few months, no issues. Might want to look into switching to that if you are having issues with flowmax.
