I just received prescription for Nubeqa. However, Firmagon injection not scheduled by uroligist until 10/9. Can I take Nubeqa now before the Firmagon or SOC requires Nubeqa to be started post Firmagon injection? Thanks for your input.

Timing of Firmagon and Nubeqa

Nubeqa and docetaxel must be begun at the same time for triplet therapy to work.
Not known. That was what the trial used but I don’t see disproof of varying onset timing Negating the benefit. It simply was not tested. Just as we now see the benefit of Nubeqa in mHSPC without concomitant Docetaxe Simultaneously
It is known that docetaxel drives cancer cells into senescence so that ARSis are no longer effective. It is also known that ARSis drive cancer cells into senescence so that docetaxel is no longer effective. We don't have to keep reinventing the wheel
Nubeqa monotherapy for newly diagnosed mHSPC has not yet been proven, but it will not be used, except in men who can't take docetaxel, now that triplet is SOC.
I’m on Lupron and Nubeqa only, I was moved to Nubeqa after Abiraterone caused liver issues (non-drinker).
Does this preclude my being put on Docetaxel/Nubeqa in the future?
What’s been Done: RALP/BiLateral Lymphectomy, Radiation and early ADT.
PSA: <=.10
Thanks
