I have been on Venlaxafine for 8 months and it definitely helped my flashes but I still get several a day and some at night; from what I have heard Veozah seems better - I now have an MO that will prescribe it.
Can anyone on Veozah describe how complete their elimination of flashes and sweats, and any other SE positives as I finalize this decision? ($400/month) Thanks, Jack

My friend takes Veozah, and has seen his hot flashes diminish in number and intensity. He says he still gets one or two a week, but even those are brief and less intense. He was taking venlafaxine before.
I'm glad you're getting some relief. My MO prescribed Venlafaxine for me for hot flashes but I won't take it. I had taken the medication years ago for generalized anxiety/depression and the withdrawal symptoms for even missing a day or not fun. I'm just sharing that if you are going to migrate to something else, be careful and aware of withdrawal symptoms of Venafaxine and do some research/talk to your doc before starting to move away from it.
Thanks- last week I had forgotten to add it to my pills regimen and could not sleep- definitely some withdrawal there- but my MO didnt mention that. Will do a bit more research.
I picked a week a the beach to do it, since I lose focus and just feel weird coming off it. Many people complain of 'brain zips' - sudden jolts you more hear, than feel, but they're not fun. I only had one or two and glad that was all. Loaded up on a lot of fish oil based on my research. It'll just be a crappy week but hopefully that's the limit to it and you'll be on your way.
