Dad is taking orgovyx and xtandi. Are there any supplements or medicines that should be avoided taking at the same time as those ?

Are there any medicines or supplements to avoid taking same time as orgovyx and xtandi ?
My oncologists in house pharmacist and Orgovyx specialty pharm reviewed all my supps for contradictions. I had a list of 30 they said all ok in my case.
I did the same thing with my hospital's pharmacy. Reviewed by pharmacist. They said no problems but the review was too casual I think.
I'm beginning to think it's more complex than one would imagine. Between full stomach and empty stomach and between requires fat and doesn't for example. And then the apparently magnesium and calcium absorption is a competition. And then there's best in the morning versus best at night. And then Tall Allen at one point I think suggested that something about the body having only so much capacity for amino acid absorption, and given that some supplements are amino acids again we have a competition.
I'm sure there's more comparisons to check, not just against prescribed PCa therapy meds.
This would be a perfect opportunity for a directed AI.
Great question Tinkudi! I trust your Dad is doing well.
Hi John ,
It’s nice to hear from you after long.
Yes he is doing ok 🙏🏻🙏🏻. How are you doing ?
Gets hot flashes sometimes but largely ok.
Btw I read some post of yours that you stopped taurine Last week had discussed you said you were going to restart it ? Do you have any link to an article saying it can be harmful for pca I give it to dad to keep heart rhythm good as he is prone to skipped beats I used to give ubiquinol too but stopped that
Glad to hear about your dad, Tinkudi! And I'm doing about the same, which all things considered is very good. My only challenge is ramping up exercise again. Because I went back to work part time and then I kind of stopped exercising. I'm getting back at it though.
As for Taurine, I invested quite a bit of time in "reading" a large number of papers. I managed to find what might have been the original article that concerned me (I may have saved it but it's not to hand). But it was only a single paper. And every other serious paper was favorable on the question of use of Taurine in circumstances of mPCa. So I started taking it again.
There are drug interactions checkers online. Type in everything that your Dad is taking and it will show. If your thinking of your Dad taking something, then just add it in alongside Enzalutamide and Orgovyx. Not all supplements seem to come up.
The leaflet you get inside a Enzalutamide (Xtandi) box also confirms the possible interactions with other drugs. Again not so much information on supplements. The key is to discuss with the oncologist or pharmacist what your Dad is taking or is considering taking. Good luck.
