My MO started me on Talazoparib (PARP inhibitor for ATM mutation) this week. Anyone else taking this this with Xtandi and 3 month Eligard shots.?
It has the normal scary list of SEs. What have been other's experiences?

Not on a clinical trial. Yes, I am taking the Talzenna formulation.
Although it is approved for the ATM mutation, it really only works well for men who have the BRCA mutation. And it is very toxic:

I suggest you enroll in the following clinical trial of a second generation PARP inhibitor. In early trials, it seems they may be beneficial against ATM+ and they are quite a bit less toxic. Module 5 accepts men in your category:

I stopped taking Talzenna because of the huge increase in fatigue. My MO agreed. QOL was more important than a 4 month lifespan improvement
I believe their is a clinical trial for a new generation of Astra Zeneca parp inhibitors combined with darolutamide. Phase I first in humans to test for toxicity. This new parp inhibitor may have some effect on ATM mutation. Maybe you could contact Astra Zeneca for more information? The new parp inhibitors should be less toxic. Less negative effects on red blood cells.
