Briefly, AST and ALT are found mostly in liver and skeletal muscle while ALK is mostly from bile ducts in the liver and from bone. Your tests are not at worrisome levels currently but you are on an investigational new drug and it may be causing this rise in AST. It could be from muscle damage. Your doctors are monitoring this. No worries at these levels but if the numbers keep going up they might have to stop the drug. Let's pray they don't and that the drug works well for you.
Hi, I am on the same study and will be getting my third infusion next week. The only real side effect I am experiencing is extreme dry mouth and eyes, which hopefully will not seriously affect my vision and further participation in the study.
