Hey Campsoups San! It’s taken from the Atami/Yugawara hillside looking towards the Izu peninsula.. I drive down the coast past Kamakura on the way or of course take the train. I hope you are able to make your trip to Yokohama .. Zip Air has some very nice affordable rates ..subsidiary of JAL. Take care and ping me if you decide to do it!
Cool. Not to brag but I had a moment when I thought that might be in the Izu area but with your Yokohama tag I thought your pic would be closer to home.
My wife and I made many a trip to Shimoda back in the day. I would drive the coast route but sometimes return on a inland route thru the mountains. Sometimes would leave in the middle of night to avoid traffic.
Hakone was a nice day trip. Sometimes went there to the outdoor sculpture museum. Looks like they charge admission now. Was more laid back, back in the 70's. The switch back mountain road was a fun drive.

Glad your taking advantage of being in Japan by seeing the sites.
The family home about a 7 minute walk from Minamimakigahara train station (near Futamatagawa station) is empty these days and we stay there when visiting. Its been a long 7 years now since I was there but my wife was there about 4 years ago.
Hope your PC stays in the background and you can enjoy life a day at a time.
I will like to echo what Yokohama2023 has said. Seasons greetings to my warrior brothers and our few sisters. The support from this community has been priceless, unmatched and unstoppable. Let's keep fighting on, let's keep hope alive, let's stay active as much as we can. Personally, I remain hopeful that the medicines that will cure us are coming, soon. Happy new year!

You forgot about the HUMOR..... geez.
So they asked this guy here in the States, why did you marry a Japanese woman?......
He replied "Cause my mother-in-law would be in Yokohama".....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
