Vancouver BC, Coffee meet & greet, Sunday Mar 17, 10:00 - 12:00

A couple of weeks ago - myself, gsun and ian996 got together for coffee in the real world. We had a nice time talking about everything under the sun. It was good to get together with other PCa warriors and share our stories and experiences rather than just coasting in relative isolation and obscurity.

We plan on getting together again this Sunday and decided to post this open invitation to anybody who would like to join us.

Time: Sunday, Mar 17, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Place: TBD

Respond to this post if you're interested; I'll fix a location by end of week and let you know by chat.

wishing I could be there but it’s a bit too far away from Florida 😈

Right now, this time of year, I wish we could meet in Florida.

Where in Florida are you? I have a brother I visit at St. Pete. Maybe someday I'll organize a Florida meet & greet.😀

Hello Skiingfiend,

I have corresponded with you before. I live in the Upper Fraser Valley. It might be too much for me to drive into Vancouver and back for a coffee Meet and Greet although my wife and friends do drive me every couple of weeks into then BC Cancer Agency. However, if you are prepared to drive half way, say to Fort Langley, I would be prepared to come in from where we live in Chilliwack.

Hi RyderLake2

I remember you.

Once I get some responses I will check with the others.

If not this time, I promise I'll set one up closer to you in the near future.

I'd be happy to join you on Sunday AM if you were willing to meet in my neighborhood. I live right next to the seabus terminal at Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. Lots of choices for places to meet right there in the Quay. It is alos supposed to be nice weather.

That's doable. Two out of three of us live on the north shore.

I'll be in touch via chat later in the week.

Wish my husband could attend this but it would be a long drive from the Yukon, it is great you are doing this with each other. It is so very hard for me talking to family or even friends that just dont get this sometimes or care not to

Yes it is a different dynamic when everybody has PCa. It's like having a normal conversation with others where everybody accepts their condition as matter of fact. Its easier to talk about everything.

Yes the Yukon is a bit far away. Can't promise to meet you halfway. 😀

Great initiative. In my experience the most informative exchanges are those with fellow sufferers. F2F is even better. Good luck.
