"Nanocarriers are a hot research area for targeted materials in oncology therapy. They can transport anticancer drugs (genes, proteins or small molecules) and allow the drug to avoid normal tissues, reducing the accumulation of the drug at non targeted sites and achieving reduced toxicity elsewhere in the body"
yes they are! I was in touch with a nano-particle cancer research lab based here in Israel and even corresponded with the head of the lab, Dr. Avi Schroeder. He is a professor of chemical engineering, fascinated by nanotechnology and precision medicine. You can find all the latest news about cancer and this space by following accounts on X (formerly twitter) and running searches for the nanotechnology cancer conferences around the world. Here are some accounts I highly recommend following to get you started:
About this website: CRS is the home for experts dedicated to delivery science, including delivery scientists, engineers, clinicians, and technical professionals. CRS members are creating the future of delivery science and technology through fundamental delivery research, development, regulatory science, and clinical translation. Research published in CRS journals and presented during the Annual Meeting & Exposition offers a breadth of scientific knowledge covering new technologies and science in the multi-disciplinary delivery field.
BTW the biggest conference in delivery medicine aka nanotechnology takes place in Italy this year. Check out @crsscience on X or their website in my other comment in this thread.
