Sudden increase of PSA...

My PSA numbers after 3 years of Lupron were steady at 0.2...then last month it went to 13....My oncologist has ordered tests but i am worried...Has anyone experienced a similar rise...?

I guess you're talking 0.13 and not 13.0.......... Many things can affect the Pca..... so have it taken again soon (always the same lab).....and post back to us..... Take it easy.......

thanks John, but I am right: it is 13, not 0.13...which is why I am somewhat curious and a little worried until further testing...

Psa is just a guide........so I wouldn't be too concerned with it....Just take care!!!

My urologist ordered a pylarify scan after only gradual and non-dramatic trajectory of my PSA reading to a little over 2.0. I am not on ADT and I still have my prostate. Get the scan. It will pinpoint whatever activity is causing the rise.

Thanks for the reply...the number is now at 23 and I'm waiting for full results of the CT scan...enlarged nymph nodes in the lower abdomen from the preliminary results...oncologist is not worried until full results are available...
