Salvage treatment for intraductal…

I am wondering if anyone has any experiences with intraductal cancer.

I am thinking about having salvage cryotherapy which may or may not

kill all of the cancer using partial or whole gland cryotherapy…Thanks!

I read some of your profile. Initially in 2004-5 i had GL 6 with PSA 6.9 and had EBRT….my concern now is having a recurrence, and wondering if a “salvage” treatment - cryotherapy, be effective in killing the cancer, including the intraductal cancer…My recurrence was in 2021. I had not discovered the recurrence until then due to a biopsy and also had a MRI. The current PSMA shows no cancer metastasis….

There has not been a lot of research done on cryotherapy for Intraductal pca. I would also look speak with an RO to see if HDR Brachytherapy might be an option.

It’s challenging in what to do after declining both HD brachytherapy and now cryotherapy. The reason why i de lined both of them is about the side effects…Both of them continue to be researched and studied. ( I didn’t want Brachytherapy since it was additional radiation)…Having a recurrence after 18 years is difficult. However, I will need to live with my choices. I may need to have more hormone therapy in the future! Thanks for your responses. The best to you…
