I had my PSA at <0.006 for several years in the same clinic but now its <0.025, is it a recurrence? Please advice.
Recurrence?: I had my PSA at <0.006 for... - Advanced Prostate...
Recurrence?
Probably not.
Did you use the same pathology lab for blood test?
Both results are less than so undetectable.
Yes, the same lab, I wonder if my PSA is increasing slowly. It was done 3months apart. Thanks.
No, it is not a recurrence. The less than sign (<) tells you that your PSA is less than the lab's equipment can measure, in the latest case .025. Hence, your PSA is undetectable. I've always had my PSA taken at the same lab here in the U.S. My first ten results were all <.03. My last three have all been <.006. My last three PSA's were measured with more sensitive equipment....equipment that can detect lower levels of PSA. All your <.025 result tells you is that your PSA is somewhere less than .025. Please don't worry.
Nope. They used a different machine with a different threshold. You remain “Not Detectable”.
The "<" means lesesd than - so both readings are exactly the same. Your lab changed how they report it.
Kamusta Ka? Carlo............. worry about the typhoons cause your psa hasn't really changed. BTW my wife is Pinay so be careful...... I know the "refined words"... They call me Tito John and Lolo John but my wife calls be Baduy................. Keep posting....
