PSMA Pylarify Test

Finally getting a PSMA Pylarify test after a PSA rise from 0.64 to 0.90 in 11 weeks.

Should be interesting. No symptoms from the cancer so far. At the current PSA level it would appear there is an almost 90% chance of locating cancer somewhere.

Also of some great interest to the doctor(s) is my status of being 27 years post Radical Prostatectomy! (No other treatments. Declined Pelvic Radiation 10 years ago.)

The Oncodoc needs a few weeks to get various approvals (Medicare, supplemental insurance, Tumor Board, IRB Board I would guess - money involved, of course!)

I have multiple cancers - thank you, Agent Orange, and Diabetes, and the coordination of care needs to be addressed as well.

This could be the beginnings of an interesting chapter in this loooong journey!

“Hey! Hi! How’s life?”

“Taking forever!”

Thanks Carlos! Not sure what might be offered for treatments, or which I might eventually accept. Also have Soft Tissue Sarcoma (one relapse, a second Primary, both in remission since two surgeries.) Diabetes currently tearing me up as well, multiple different Insulins/pills daily, and terrible Bi-lateral Peripheral Neuropathy.

I am hoping that the left hand talks to the right once any treatments begin, and one doc hopefully designated to monitor the SE’s from multiple concurrent diseases and treatments.

This is going to be either successful in some ways, or a huge cluster. We’ll see. I am not so confident based on the silo’d interests and past experiences, even in a medical Mecca like Boston.

Might just defer to my other personal physicians - Dr. Johnny Walker, Dr. Jack Daniels, and Dr. Sam Adams.

Might also just hide and watch them all fight it out for egos, publishing papers, and insurance monies.

Will certainly be interesting to watch!

Ironically I have some of the same personal physicians. In addition I do like a pull of Bullit Rye for a second opinion.

I already asked my oncologist for a second opinion. He said, “Well, you’re ugly too.” Ba-dum TSSSHH!

Thank you, Rodney Dangerfield! 😁

I like the way you think.👍👍

For our 50th Anniversary my Little Brother gave me

crystalimagery.com/products...

filled with JW King George V. We have a sip together LONG DISTANCE on a Special Occasion. Blood Work tomorrow and if results are good I'll let him know. 😁

BTW - wife doesn't drink alcohol so it's all mine

Sweet bottle! Sweet whisky too! My youngest daughter gave me a bottle of JW Platinum for my birthday a few years ago. Finally empty, but kept the bottle and box as a memento. Also sipped in special occasions only!

Good luck with the bloodwork! Hope you two share a dram together after the results! 😃

* I made the big mistake of teaching my wife to enjoy single malt Scotch. Hafta share some of the nectars with her!

What's your favorite Single Malt?

On a cruise I got a free bottle of The Glen Grant - Single Malt --- The Major's Reserve. Pretty nice.

Never had Tequila so when our son visited at Christmas he got a bottle of Clase Azul Tequila Blanco to try. Good thing he took it back home when he left. 😆

Just had mine, they found that it on the live, the whole liver, some bone involvement and lyph nodes in my chest. The only salvation is pluvicto, have to go to Rochester ny for the first treatment then take the rest at upstate in syacuse ny where I live. I understand that it takes 9 hours, just seems like a long time. Have to go down the day before then come home the day after.

Wait… the PSMA test took NINE hours??

Geez…hospital time! Good luck with your next Pluvicto treatments! I think if they visualize my liver with the scan it may be waving a white flag.

The pluvicto takes 9 hours to administer, the PET scan took 40 minutes.i should be my first one in Rochester in September. I could not believe it takes that long either, have no choice if you want to live.

Yes I am having this scan as soon as the insurance approves it and for the same reason -- a jump in my PSA. Good luck to both of us in finding out exactly where the activity is. An Axumin scan found nothing a year and a half ago.
