Hi, My husband was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2012. There was some talk of the possibility of a hot zone in the pelvic bone, but the Oncologist was unsure - due to the fact my husband had sustained a very bad fall from a ladder at the time.
He has been on various treatments plus a 6 monthly injection of Decapeptyl. Over time he has also had breaks in treatment, but after 6 months when PSA started to rise, he went back on treatment, which took his PSA to almost immeasurable.
Due to recent major surgery, his Consultant cut his dosage of Erleada down to 2 tablets per day. However, his PSA has risen to 8. He has now been advised to take 4 tablets per day. Will taking the full dose take his PSA down - or has he become castrate resistant? Has anyone been in this situation?
