I tried to find the answer online but failed so I thought this site might have the answer. Can you have treatments like plivucto or chemo after the SIRS microscopic treatment or is that the end ? Hopefully people will have the knowledge I cannot find or know. Thank you for solving this head scratcher.

The Y90 SIRS is injected into specific spots in the liver and should not interfere with systemic treatments like chemo or pluvicto.

I guess since I found the answer would it disqualify me from a plevicto trial if I was lucky to get into one ? Can it be done in conjunction with a plevicto trial or treatment plan ?

That would be dependent upon the criteria set forth for the clinical trial.

What's SIRS microscopic treatment

It is microscopic particles thinner than human hair that is put into the vein leading to the liver through the groin or arm. They emit radioactive particles that stays there and is absorbed by the cancer through the blood, it is over 10 years not brand new. Less invasion because it treats the area affected not the whole body like chemo and less side effects. It can be done in three treatments by an interventional radiologist for lesions on the liver. The success rate is high and can last for months or years, the liver has to be healthy otherwise, it buys more time without disease progression. It is rare that it goes to the liver but I think it is becoming more common. The particles lose the radiation effects within days and is passed out of the body, you can be around people and pets so it is not like plucicto.

Is it covered by insurance? How much does it cost?

Medicare covers it, last time I looked it was in the middle 40 thousand.
