Taiwan has not as many hormonal drugs as the US has

Taiwan has not as many hormonal drugs like US has. I had Casadox first and then Xtandi which failed to be effective after one and half years of treatment. How should go from here? I haven’t done Docetaxel. Should I go ahead with Docetaxel or Zytiga?

Did you have Casedex along with a monthly or trimonthly injection of Differeline which has been used in Taiwan as the first line treatment. It works on me. Xtandi is not covered by the Taiwan's Health Plan unless your PC has metastazied to other parts of the body.

sorry I had Lupron and Casadox when I was diagnosed with advanced PCa 6 and half years ago. And then Lupron and Xtandi which lost its effectiveness after one and half years of treatment . Are u from Taiwan?

I am new in this group and know very little about PC. I have been diagnosed just 6 months ago with 5+5 pc, the most aggressive kind. My RP failed to drop my psa so I started hormonal therapy in april. Have you checked Lu 177 (Pluvicto) that is available in taita. Yes, I am in Taiwan.

I guess Lu177 is not covered by NHB, right? Is it available at taita or 和信醫院? Would you like to join my LINE (0928129893)? Perhaps I can help you through this journey with my experience.

Since I am a new patient, any experience sharing is appreciated. I will add you to my line for advise. I did not have biopsy prior to my sugery. My surgeon just looked at the MRI and told me " cancerous". I wish I had done but I did not anything about it then. . I was told by another urologist that when lymy nodes were infected PSA qould not drop much RP. I was at Sun yetsen cancer clinics ( Ho-hsin hopistal) in Taipei last week seeing a MO who checked my PSA and the reading was 0.05. He mentioned about LUT 177 for consideration later if needed but he did not book me for any radiation. He suggested to continue my hormonal therapy.

At the moment, your MO is right when he says hormonal therapy.

I got it. Do you have this in Taiwan?

I would go with Zytiga and see how much time that can buy you...BTW Sadly Docetaxel did not work for me 😞

I never ever want to go against the brilliance of Tall Allen. Serious !

However, my personal experience would be to switch to Abi/Zytiga. Here is why: I was on Firmagon (Degelrix) only for first 3 mos. Added Xtandi and T rose, then PSA flattened, then reversed up. Asked my Onco….am I having failure at Month 4? He said let’s switch to Abi/Zytiga + prednisone. Boom, PSA started downward. T went from 27 back to 5. PSA continued to drop with no upticks.

Then had SABR to Prostate and T5 at month 15 , boom, further drops in PSA to .008, with 2nd Pylarify PSMA PET w improving Scans.

My best to you and yours, Mike

let’s see how the next blood work goes. I am going to have it in three days. It’s 0.1 three months ago and increased to 5 last month. Thanks
