I'm probably looking at starting salvage radiation soon with 4-6 months of ADT. The doc suggests starting with Casodex and then two sequential Lupron shots.
Is there a better way to do ADT for that period? I'd like to get my testosterone back quickly at the end of the treatment period if possible. I know that Orgovyx would allow me to do that, but it's too pricey for me.

Hola ElRancho! 8 Yrs ago this month I did a one month shot of firmagon . I went undetectable and have stayed so this entire time. After that first shot I was switched to lupron for two years . I think that it must cheaper ? Then I did an orch and dropped the shots . I did a test adt drug tak-700 until several months ago when I dropped it also . KEEP rolling amigo! ✌️
Great smiles ElRancho! No advice… I’m just wishing you a long remission ! 🙏🏼
Sounds very similar to the tx plan for my husband's stage 3b prostate cancer. He started with two months of Casodex Feb. 2022, followed by 45 sessions of radiation with Lupron injections every 3 to 4 months. His PSA was done to .017 last July. He will receive one more injection of Lupron this month. Overall, he feels good, just some fatigue. Time will tell if this tx plan is effective for the long term. My understanding is that the main thing is to reduce testosterone as it feeds the tumor. Hope this helps and God Bless you.
