Not a lot here that people on this forum don't already know. But interesting that it's getting some attention from the likes of WSJ.

It is behind a paywall. Could you do a summary?

My understanding is that right now is coming from Italy and it is going to take several months to start the production in the USA.

It is difficult to get enrolled in the treatment since the doses are coming from patients who already are in treatment, and whatever is left goes to new patients.

That's pretty much it. They talked to doctors and a Novartis spokesperson. New plant awaiting approval is in NJ and they mention another location in Indiana.

So let people due while waiting, I hope they can ramp it up soon and get the supply back up, alot on here is waiting for the drug. Just like government, dangle the carrot stick in hopes you do not due while waiting, just cruel.

Who do you say is cruel? The FDA? Novartis? I'm one of those in waiting. I fail to see the cruelty though. I work in manufacturing and some regulatory stuff along the edges, so I understand what happens when there are a lot of moving parts. Novartis is motivated by a large revenue stream. The FDA, not so motivated.

I am also in line, referring to the manufacture , of course it was approved a short time in the US. I believe Europe has had it much longer and the overload of the american patients probably put a problem in getting it made. What are you taking now as a bridge until you can get it, curious ? Another person's mom takes insulin that is in short supply and she gets a half dose so she has the shakes.
